STUDI BERBASIS KORPUS: PERBANDINGAN KOLOKASI DAN PROSODI SEMANTIK SINONIM BAHASA INDONESIA “MENYEBABKAN” DAN “MENGAKIBATKAN”

Sinonim merupakan salah satu bagian vital dalam pembentukan sistem kosa kata suatu bahasa. Perbedaan kata sinonim dalam metode pengajaran tradisional hanya sekadar makna leksikalnya, bukan penggunaannya sehingga pemelajar sering mengalami kesulitan dalam pemerolehan bahasa kedua. Munculnya linguistik korpus pada pokoknya telah menyediakan cara baru yang telah terbukti efektif dan praktik terhadap penelitian kosa kata. Dengan menggunakan Korpus Indonesian Web (IndonesiaWaC) dan pendeketan campuran kualitatif dan kuantitatif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perbandingan kolokasi dan prosodi semantik terhadap kata sinonim bahasa Indonesia “menyebabkan” dan “mengakibatkan” supaya dapat menemukan perselisihan penggunaan antara kedua katanya dalam teks tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa “menyebabkan” dan “mengakibatkan” berbagi kolokasi yang mirip dan dua-duanya memiliki prosodi semantik negatif dalam sebagian besar konteks. Akan tetapi, “menyebabkan” sebagai kata kerja transitif biasanya disandingkan dengan kata benda yang berhubungan dengan kondisi sosial atau geografis, sedangkan kata-kata yang dikolokasikan “mengakibatkan” cenderung mempunyai kaitannya dengan keadaan badaniah orang. Hasil kajian ini pada dasarnya dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengajaran dan pemerolehan kosa kata bahasa Indonesia bagi pembelajar dan pemelajar bahasa Indonesia di Tiongkok agar meminimalkan keliruan gramatikal yang disebabkan oleh kesalahgunaan kosa kata dan transfer negatif bahasa Mandarin dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia.Downloads
